Chemical isotope labeling 1 D LC-MS


Description

Accurate relative quantification of up to 2,500 metabolites (not features) in urine or 1,500 in blood or 1,000 in plant extract or 1,500 in cell extracts using one chemical-group labeling LC-MS. Up to four labeling methods can be applied to the same sample for the analysis of 1) amines/phenols, 2) carboxylic acids, 3) hydroxyls, and 4) ketones/aldehydes, separately. The combined results of these four submetabolomes can cover over 5,000 to 10,000 metabolites (sample dependent) per sample. A user can choose the labeling method(s) to analyze one or more chemical-group-based submetabolomes. Positive metabolite identification of 100 to 400 metabolites (sample dependent) based on retention time and accurate mass matches to labeled standard libraries is included in the analysis. The remaining metabolites are putatively matched to chemical structures in metabolome databases.
